Michael Abrahamson is an Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture, University of Utah, specializing in 20th-century architectural history and criticism. His research bridges business and labor history with cultural studies, focusing on the tension between individual authorship and collective labor in architectural practice.

His work interrogates the materiality of buildings, master planning, and organized labor's architectural legacy, as seen in projects like The Introspective Professional: Practicing Architecture Between Genius and Bureaucracy and Solidarity Houses: Architecture and Organized Labor in the US, 1865–1970.
