Igor Fedotov serves as Artist Faculty for Viola at Roosevelt University's Chicago College of Performing Arts within the Music Conservatory. A native of Russia, he maintains an active international performance career while contributing to the university's strings program.
His research focuses on Viola Performance and 20th Century Russian Composers, particularly through his Fulbright-funded exploration of Russian viola repertoire. Fedotov specializes in Chamber Music collaborations and String Instrument Pedagogy, bringing extensive professional experience to his teaching practice.

Fedotov has performed with internationally renowned musicians including cellists Anner Bylsma and Ivan Monighetti, violist Sally Chisholm of Pro Arte Quartet, and principal violist Charles Pickler of the Chicago Symphony. He served on the Board of Directors for the Stulberg International String Competition from 2000 to 2008 and has appeared at major festivals across Europe and the United States including Academies Internacionales du Grand Nancy, Musiques en Mer, and Sewanee Summer School.
His professional activities include solo recitals at International Viola Congresses (1996, 1997, 2000) and the 2005 International Bass Convention. Fedotov's research culminated in a Naxos recording released in February 2010 featuring 20th century Russian viola compositions.
