Ifeanyi Onyemere

Ifeanyi Onyemere is a Lecturer in Business and Management within the Strategy and Operations team of the Faculty of Business, Law, and Tourism at the University of Sunderland. With over 23 years of combined industry and academic experience, he holds a PhD from Regent University, Virginia Beach, USA, and a master’s degree in Banking and Finance. His expertise spans curriculum development, research-informed pedagogy, and dissertation supervision, focusing on digital business, leadership, and strategic foresight.

He currently leads modules in the BA (Hons) Business and MSc Management Sunderland Online programs, redesigning modules to align with academic standards and industry practices. His industry background includes 12 years in banking and management consulting, enriching his teaching with practical insights. His doctoral research on minimizing organizational failure in a VUCA world led to a successful executive education program impacting over 540 senior executives.

Dr. Onyemere is a thought leader with publications and presentations at international conferences. He actively contributes to professional organizations such as the British Academy of Management and the Association of Professional Futurists. His teaching philosophy emphasizes student-centered learning, fostering critical thinking and real-world application. He collaborates on interdisciplinary research in digital transformation, AI, and sustainable development.
