Augustus E. Osseo-Asare is a Senior Lecturer in Strategy and International Management at the University of Sunderland since 2005. He holds a PhD in Management from the University of Derby, alongside an MBA and Postgraduate Diploma in Research Methodology. Prior to academia, he worked in Ghana's Pharmaceutical Industry and UK Manufacturing/Retail sectors.
His research focuses on strategy formation, dynamic capabilities, and corporate governance in multinational enterprises, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. He actively supervises PhD students exploring topics like FDI inflows, strategic leadership, and retail internationalisation.
Key affiliations include the British Academy of Management (BAM), Strategic Management Society (SMS), and Academy of International Business (AIB). He is a Fellow of the UK's Higher Education Academy (HEA).
His recent publications address multiculturalism's impact on business strategy, corporate governance in banks, and sustainable tourism in Indonesia. He has supervised notable doctoral graduates, including Dr. Eziashi Ifeanyi and Dr. Oghenetega Origho.
