Idil Galip is a Lecturer in New Media and Digital Culture at the University of Amsterdam and a PhD candidate (completed) at the University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on memes, digital labor, and platform cultures. She founded the Meme Studies Research Network in 2020 and serves on the board of The Hmm, a cultural organization supporting digital arts.
