Paul Sweetman is a Senior Lecturer in Culture, Media & Creative Industries at King's College London's Faculty of Arts & Humanities. He previously held senior lecturer roles at the University of Southampton and the University of Durham. He holds a PhD in Sociology from Southampton (1999), an MA in Sociology of Contemporary Culture from York (1994), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Sociology from Manchester (1993). His research focuses on cultural sociology, subcultures, body studies, and visual methods, with particular attention to habitus, reflexivity, and sociality.

- Co-developer of the City Portraits photography installation (2010–2011)
