Ibrahima Sene is a Researcher at the Chair of African History at Universität Bayreuth since April 2023. His work focuses on German colonial history, memory studies, and Afro-diasporic knowledge production. He holds a PhD (Summa cum Laude) from Universität des Saarlandes and UCAD, Dakar, and an MA in African Culture and Society from Universität Bayreuth.

Research interests include colonial literature, postcolonial memory politics, and transnational Black activism. His current postdoc project explores Afro-diasporic knowledge networks in France and Germany through historical organizations like Ligue de Défense de la Race Nègre and contemporary groups like CRAN and ISD.
Teaching includes courses on postcolonial African civil society, colonial travel literature, and Black Internationalism (1920-1960).
