Ian Berg is a Boston-based tap dancer, musician, and composer currently serving as Visiting Artist in Dance at Mount Holyoke College, with adjunct professor roles at Endicott College and Boston University plus guest lecturing at Tufts University. His career bridges performance, education, and artistic direction in contemporary dance.

Berg's research focuses on tap dance as a percussive narrative art form, integrating music composition with choreography across jazz, modern dance, and contact improvisation. His work explores rhythmic storytelling through interdisciplinary collaborations and live musical arrangements, emphasizing tap's evolution as a contemporary medium while preserving its cultural roots.
