Dr. Iain B Banks is a Senior Lecturer in History and Battlefield Archaeology at the University of Glasgow, where he serves as Executive Director of the Centre for Battlefield Archaeology. His research focuses on prehistoric warfare, 20th-century conflict archaeology, and the material culture of historical conflicts. He has led projects across the UK, Europe, and Africa, emphasizing geophysical surveys and excavations at sites like prisoner-of-war camps and battlefield landscapes.
Dr. Banks actively contributes to the MLitt program in Battlefield and Conflict Archaeology, integrating field methodologies with historical analysis.
