Dr. Huey Wen Lim is a Research Fellow at the School of PCPM, RMIT University, Australia. She holds a PhD and Master of Engineering from Tsinghua University (China) and a Psychology (Honours) degree from HELP University (Malaysia). Previously, she served as a McKenzie Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne's Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning (2022–2025) and conducted research in construction management at Tsinghua University (2016–2020).
Her research focuses on occupational safety, mental wellbeing in construction/mining sectors, and disaster resilience, bridging psychology and engineering disciplines. Key contributions include frameworks for Construction 4.0 workforce wellbeing and evidence-based approaches to psychosocial hazards. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals 3 (Health), 5 (Gender Equality), 8 (Decent Work), and 9 (Industry Innovation).
Awarded the 2023 CIB Keith Hampson Early Career Researcher-Industry Award, Lim emphasizes research-industry partnerships. She has published extensively on topics like seismic resilience, safety leadership, and remote work policy impacts. Active in advisory roles, she is open to collaborative projects, media engagements, and supervising postgraduate students.
