Honoure Black is a Lecturer at the University of Manitoba, affiliated with the Faculty of Architecture and Department of Environmental Design. She teaches courses in art history, architecture, and design theory, including History of Culture, Ideas and Environment and Landscape + Urbanism Theory.

Honoure’s research explores intersections of Indigenous resurgence, decolonization of public spaces, and landscape urbanism. Her work engages with Indigenous methodologies, power dynamics in spatial design, and reconciliation through public art. She examines Winnipeg’s settler colonial monuments and contemporary Indigenous public art as sites of transformative dialogue.
