Hilda Morales is an Assistant Professor of Dance at The Hartt School, University of Hartford, where she has been a faculty member since 1998. She teaches Ballet, Pointe, Variations, Repertoire, and Ballet Pedagogy.
Her educational background includes early training with Ana Garcia at Ballet San Juan in Puerto Rico. At age 14, she received a Ford Foundation Scholarship to study at George Balanchine's School of American Ballet.
Professor Morales' research and artistic interests center on classical ballet techniques and pedagogy. Her expertise spans pointe work, classical variations, and repertoire preservation from choreographers including George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Agnes de Mille, Anthony Tudor, John Butler, Alvin Ailey, and Jose Limon. She emphasizes technical precision and artistic expression in dance education.
