Hilary Lowe is a research-active academic at the University of the West of England, affiliated with the College of Business and Law. She serves as Director of Partnerships and International, where she oversees transnational education, international collaborations, and student pipelines, working closely with the College Dean and University stakeholders to ensure sustainable and viable partnership frameworks.
Her research focuses on critical areas in human resource management, including International HRM, student and graduate labour markets, and older women's wellbeing at work. She is an active member of the HRWE and DRAGoN research groups at Bristol Business School, contributing to impactful projects on employment equity and workplace wellbeing.
Hilary teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, delivering modules in HRM, International HRM, research methods, and English for Academic Purposes. She also supervises student research at both levels.
She holds a PhD, MSc, MBA, MA, PGCE HE/FE, BA (Hons), SFHEA, and CMBE, reflecting a strong and diverse academic foundation.
Hilary is engaged in advising and educational leadership, particularly in shaping international academic partnerships and student development. Her work bridges academic delivery, strategic internationalization, and research on marginalized workforce groups.
