Dr. Henrike Rudolph is an Assistant Professor and Study Advisor at the Department of East Asian Studies, University of Göttingen. She holds a Ph.D. from Hamburg University and Fudan University (Shanghai, 2017). Before joining Göttingen in 2020, she was a postdoctoral fellow at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg and held an interim professorship at Heidelberg University.
Research Focus: Her work centers on transcultural knowledge exchange, education thought, and network approaches to social/political history, with a focus on 20th-century China. Current projects examine academic and political networks of Chinese scientists since the Republican era, integrating archival research with digital historical network analysis.
Teaching: Teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Sinology, Asian Studies, and Transcultural Studies. Serves as a student advisor for BA Modern China, MA Modern Sinology, and M.Ed. Chinese as a Foreign Language programs.
