Her current monograph project expands her dissertation "Between Faith and Truth: The Historiography of Buddhism in Modern China (1902–1965)" to analyze how Buddhist elites shaped Chinese cultural identity through historical writing.
Her ongoing research investigates religion's role in modern Chinese intellectual life, examining how religious traditions adapted to new political frameworks during the Republican period through evolving conceptual frameworks and discourses.
As Study Advisor for BA Modern Sinology, she provides academic guidance while teaching graduate courses on Chinese religion and history. Her collaborative work with Ruhr University Bochum's "East Asian Futures" program demonstrates active engagement in interdisciplinary East Asian scholarship.
