Hendrik Wilhelm

Hendrik Wilhelm is a Professor at the University of Witten/Herdecke within the Faculty of Business and Society (Department of Management and Entrepreneurship). As the RMI Professorship for Strategic Organization since 2019, he studies how responsible leadership fosters employee collaboration, innovation, and adaptability in organizations. His research spans creativity, learning, and performance at individual, team, and organizational levels, often combining empirical rigor with practical engagement through partnerships with companies like Katjes and König Pilsener.

Research interests include strategic adaptation, dynamic capabilities, organizational routines, team creativity, and evidence-based management. His recent publications analyze topics such as relational affect in surgical teams, entrepreneurial fundraising decisions, and innovation in temporary organizations. He also leads initiatives like the Sustainable Corporate Management in Practice seminar and contributes to public discourse through the RMI Debates in the Ruhr region.
