Helen Coleman is a Professor at Queen's University Belfast, affiliated with the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences and the Centre for Public Health. She leads the Cancer Epidemiology Research Group and serves as Deputy Director of the Northern Ireland Cancer Registry. Her work focuses on the epidemiology and early detection of gastrointestinal cancers, including Barrett's oesophagus, oesophageal adenocarcinoma, and colorectal cancer, with an emphasis on modifiable risk factors like smoking, alcohol, and nutrition.
