Heather C. Hill is a Hazen-Nicoli Professor in Teacher Learning and Practice and Faculty Co-Chair of Teaching and Teacher Leadership (TTL) at Harvard University's Graduate School of Education. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan (2000). Her research focuses on teacher quality improvement, mathematics instruction, and professional development, with contributions to assessments of teacher knowledge and instructional quality. She co-authored *Learning Policy: When State Education Reform Works* (2001) and advises on education policy globally.
Research interests include teacher learning, instructional quality measurement, and equity in mathematics education. Awards include membership in the National Academy of Education and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Her work addresses challenges in mathematics teaching post-pandemic, emphasizing equitable practices and data-driven solutions.
Advising and grants: Hill collaborates on research projects and policy efforts, focusing on teacher development and curriculum design.
