Harvey Dong

Harvey Dong is a Continuing Lecturer in the Department of Ethnic Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on the evolution of Asian American and Third World social movement activism, including work with the I-Hotel History Committee. He teaches courses on Asian American history, Chinese American history, and contemporary community issues, integrating his community activism into pedagogy. His teaching excellence was recognized with the 2016 American Cultures Ronald Takaki Teaching Award.
