Dr. Hanifa AlBlooshi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical & Petroleum Engineering at Khalifa University. She holds a PhD (2014) and MSc in Chemical Engineering from UAE University, with additional experience as a graduate teaching assistant and researcher. She was a visiting scholar at Virginia Commonwealth University (USA) and is affiliated with the Research and Innovation Center on CO2 and Hydrogen at Khalifa University.

Research Interests span biochemical engineering, focusing on enzyme technology, green solvents, and microalgae for sustainable applications. Her work addresses:
- Biodiesel production from lipids
- Oil spills remediation
- Waste valorization for circular bioeconomy
- Photothermal heavy metals removal
- CO2 and hydrogen management
Scientific Awards include:

She has published over 45 refereed journal articles (Scopus h-index 18), authored a patent, and contributed to two books and four book chapters. Dr. AlBlooshi actively reviews for journals such as Biomass and Bioenergy, Fuel, and Journal of Supercritical Fluids.
