Dr. Khalid Al Ali is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Khalifa University, focusing on solar fuel production and thermochemical energy storage. His research spans hydrogen generation, CO2 utilization, and solar reactor design.
Education:
- PhD in Chemical Engineering (Tokyo Institute of Technology, 2014)
- MSc in Chemical Engineering (Tokyo Institute of Technology, 2011)
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering (United Arab Emirates University, 2006)
Research Interests:
- High-temperature solar chemistry for hydrogen production
- Development of solar-driven thermochemical/photochemical processes
- Micro-kinetics modeling and catalysis
- Conversion of industrial waste into sustainable materials
Key Projects: His work includes solar H2S decomposition for hydrogen production, blue hydrogen generation using sand-derived catalysts, and CO2 conversion systems.
