H.R. McMaster is a Lecturer at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and holds senior fellowships at the Hoover Institution and the Freeman Spogli Institute. A retired U.S. Army lieutenant general, he served as Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs (2017–2018) and held key military roles in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Army Capabilities Integration Center.
