Greg Richins

Dr. Greg Richins is a Lecturer in Accounting at the School of Accounting, University of New South Wales (UNSW), appointed in July 2019. He has previously held teaching roles at the University of Waterloo, University of Pittsburgh, and University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

• Education: Ph.D. in Accounting from University of Waterloo, CMA qualification
• Research Focus: Employee responses to management control systems, workplace reciprocity, goal setting dynamics, and integration of data analytics into accounting education

His recent publications explore goal-setting theory in accounting research augmented by AI, audit judgment accuracy under conceptual shifts, and behavioral impacts of team recognition systems. While his research emphasizes organizational behavior and management accounting, he also investigates technological implications like big data analytics for the profession.
