Bret Sheeley

Bret Sheeley is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting at the Katz School of Business, University of Pittsburgh, since 2024. He earned his PhD from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in accounting from Minnesota State University Moorhead. As a licensed CPA and CMA with extensive public and private accounting experience, he integrates practical insights into his teaching and research.

Research Interests: Bret’s research examines how management control system design influences the judgment and decision-making processes of employees, managers, and investors. He also explores coding skill development through GitHub repositories, focusing on Python, JavaScript, and HTML.
