Prof Graham Ellard is a Professor at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, renowned for his collaborative work with Stephen Johnstone since 1993. Their practice combines film and architecture, focusing on modernist spaces and the interplay of light, scale, and reflection. Key projects include For an Open Campus (2014) and Fossil (2020), both examining architectural environments through 16mm film. Ellard co-convenes the Double agents research project and directs the CSM Associate Studio Programmes for graduates. His work has been exhibited globally, including at the Tate Liverpool, Pompidou Centre, and MAXXI. Grants include funding from the Graham Foundation and the Elephant Trust for projects exploring architectural spaces. Publications include Anthony McCall: Notebooks and Conversations (2015) and a co-edited volume on artist studios.
