Grace Bird is a Senior Lecturer in Medical Imaging at the School of Health and Life Sciences, Teesside University. She serves as Course Leader for the BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography (Apprenticeship) program and module lead for the third-year Radiographic Practice module on the undergraduate Diagnostic Radiography course, while also contributing to cross-professional modules in employability and professionalism.

Her professional activities span clinical practice, mentorship, and military service. She participates in the Radiology Across Borders mentorship program, supporting radiology professionals in developing nations, and is a Reserve Officer Cadet in the British Army’s Royal Army Medical Services Reserves, undergoing training to become a commissioned officer. Her roles have included specialist paediatric radiography at Birmingham Children's Hospital and veterinary radiography at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. Grace’s work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, global health equity, and leadership development.
