Paul Hunter

Paul Hunter is a Principal Lecturer (Learning & Teaching) at Teesside University's School of Health & Life Sciences (SHLS), specializing in Allied Health Professions. He leads the PgCert, PgDip, and MSc Forensic Radiography courses delivered via TU Online, overseeing five modules. Additionally, he serves as Placements Officer for pre-registration Diagnostic Radiography students at the university.

Education includes a BSc (Hons) in Psychology (Northumbria University, 2000–2003), a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography (Teeside University, 2011–2014), and an MSc in Forensic Radiography (Teeside University, 2015–2020). His professional experience spans NHS roles as a Senior Radiographer and Radiographer at CDDFT NHS Foundation Trust, alongside roles in post-mortem CT imaging and mobile CT radiography.

Research focuses on forensic imaging best practices, radiographer training, and international standards. He authored the 2020 IAFR guidelines on forensic imaging services, emphasizing ethical and procedural standards. His work bridges clinical practice and academic education, particularly in forensic radiography.

Externally, he held leadership roles in the International Association of Forensic Radiographers (IAFR), including Chair (2021–2022), Vice-Chair (2020–2021), and Education & Communications Officer (2018–2020). These roles underscore his commitment to advancing forensic radiography globally.
