Claire Carter is a Lecturer at the Building Future Communities Research Centre in the Department of Radiography & Operating Department Practice at London South Bank University (LSBU). She holds roles as Course Lead for the BSc Diagnostic Radiography program and Level 6 module lead. Her clinical background includes advanced band 7 Diagnostic Radiography work at University College Hospital London, specializing in CT, interventional radiography, and veterinary imaging.
- External Examiner (2024-2027) at Derby University's Diagnostic Radiography apprenticeship program
- Member of the CT SIG, Society of Radiographers Education Group, and Simulation in Education Group
Research Focus
Current projects investigate:
- Lived experiences of female, transgender, and BAME individuals with ASD/ADHD diagnoses
- Admissions criteria impacts on student demographics
- Simulation-based learning efficacy in radiography education
Her work aligns with UN SDG 4 (Quality Education).
