Godbless Akaighe

Godbless Akaighe is a Lecturer in Leadership within the Work, Employment, Management and Organisations (WEMO) department at the University of Leicester's School of Business. He joined the university in 2022 after holding positions at Nottingham Trent University and The University of Sheffield. Prior to his UK appointments, he worked as a researcher at Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, and the University of Lagos in Nigeria, with additional industry experience at Nestle Nigeria Plc and PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc.

Education:

• B.Sc. in Business Administration from Lagos State University
• M.Sc. in Organisational Behaviour from the University of Lagos
• PhD in Management (Work Psychology emphasis) from The University of Sheffield

Research Focus: His work explores psychological dynamics in workplace settings, specifically organisational leadership paradigms, followership behaviors, and cognitive-emotional aspects of work psychology. His publications in peer-reviewed journals examine how leadership structures influence employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
