Gloria Frost is Professor of Philosophy at the University of St. Thomas's College of Arts and Sciences, where she specializes in medieval philosophy with particular focus on Thomas Aquinas, Duns Scotus, and Peter Olivi. Her research examines metaphysical questions surrounding causation, modality, and truth in the transition from medieval to early modern philosophy.
Professor Frost's scholarly contributions include extensive publications on Aquinas's ontology of causal powers and medieval theories of divine action. She currently serves as Assistant Editor for the American Catholic Philosophical Quarterly and previously served as President of the Society for Medieval and Renaissance Philosophy.
Honors include the Founder's Prize for best paper by a recent PhD recipient (2012) and the Edward Braham Award for Academic Excellence (2004). She teaches courses on medieval philosophy, metaphysics, and philosophy of religion, including specialized seminars on Aquinas and disability ethics.
