His research focuses on the intersection of metaphysics and philosophy of mind, with special emphasis on medieval philosophy (particularly Thomas Aquinas). Key interests include social ontology, theories of intersubjectivity, and philosophical anthropology. Current projects explore shared experience, Aquinas's conception of mental representation, joint agency, and the role of interpersonal relations in personhood theory.
Dr. Kintz's recent publications in journals such as Pacific Philosophical Quarterly and The Review of Metaphysics reflect sustained engagement with medieval philosophical frameworks applied to contemporary ethical and metaphysical questions, particularly concerning relational ontology and cognitive theory.
He teaches courses including Dante’s Divine Comedy and Aquinas’s Moral Psychology, Divine Hiddenness and the Problem of Suffering, and Medieval Philosophy.
