Dr. Carl Vater is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Saint Vincent College. He holds a B.A. from Saint Vincent College, an M.A. from Villanova University, another M.A. from the Catholic University of America, and a Ph.D. from the Catholic University of America. His research focuses on medieval philosophy, particularly the works of Aquinas, Bonaventure, and Ockham, with an emphasis on divine ideas, natural law, and medieval theological concepts. Recent publications explore themes such as divine knowledge, embryogenesis in medieval thought, and inconsistencies in Aquinas's philosophical accounts.
