Dr. Giulio Maria Pasinetti is a Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, affiliated with the Friedman Brain Institute, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and departments of Neurology, Psychiatry, Neuroscience, and Geriatrics and Adult Development. He serves as Program Director of the NIH-funded Mount Sinai Center for Molecular Integrative Neuroresilience and Chief of the Brain Institute Center of Excellence for Novel Approaches to Neurodiagnostics and Neurotherapeutics.

Dr. Pasinetti's research focuses on Alzheimer’s disease, neurodegeneration, neuroinflammation, and the gut-brain axis. His recent work explores the impact of environmental stressors, immune mechanisms, and microbiome diversity on neuroplasticity and cognitive resilience, utilizing mouse models and advanced exposome analysis.
His scientific awards include:
