Giulio Maria Pasinetti

Dr. Giulio Maria Pasinetti holds the Saunders Family Chair as Professor of Neurology and maintains additional professorships in Psychiatry, Neuroscience, and Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He serves as Program Director of the NIH-funded Mount Sinai Center for Molecular Integrative Neuroresilience and Chief of the Brain Institute Center of Excellence for Novel Approaches to Neurodiagnostics and Neurotherapeutics.

His educational background includes an MD from the University of Milan Medical School and a PhD from the University of Milan.

Dr. Pasinetti's research pioneers molecular neuroresilience mechanisms in Alzheimer's disease, utilizing genomic and proteomic technologies to identify drug-repurposing candidates. His work spans the gut-brain axis, cognitive resilience biomarkers, and novel immunotherapies for opioid addiction, emphasizing translational pathways from preclinical models to clinical applications. Recent investigations focus on environmental stressors' impact on neurodegeneration and personalized therapeutic approaches.
