معرفی
Giovanni Dal Corso is a Temporary Assistant Professor (Rtd_B) in Agricultural Genetics at the Department of Biotechnology, University of Verona. His research focuses on plant-environment interactions, specifically genetic and molecular mechanisms involved in heavy metal absorption, accumulation, and detoxification in plants. He holds a BSc in Agro-Industrial Biotechnology (2004) and a PhD in Natural Sciences (2007) from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (Munich). Before his current role, he worked as a Laboratory Technician and earned the Cultore della Materia title in Agricultural Genetics.
- Research Projects:
- PRIN 2022 Urban Parks' Biodiversity (2023)
- Biofortified Horticultural Species (2017)
- Soil Remediation via Hyperaccumulators (2013)
Teaching includes courses like 'Genetics and Biotechnology of Non-Food Crops' and 'Molecular Cell Biology', with lab supervision responsibilities. He contributes to research groups like Molecular Genetics and Plant Cell Cultures. His work aims to develop biotechnological approaches for phytoremediation and crop biofortification.
