Gil Atzmon, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Medicine (Endocrinology) and Genetics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York, USA. He is a member of the Institute for Aging Research (IAR) and the Diabetes Research and Training Center (DRTC). His research focuses on the role of epigenetics in diseases, aging, and longevity. Dr. Atzmon holds a PhD in Population Genetics from the Hebrew University and completed a fellowship in Human Genetics at Einstein, where he joined the faculty.
He has over 150 scientific publications in leading journals and has been an invited speaker at international conferences. Dr. Atzmon serves as an expert reviewer for top genetics and genomics journals and sits on the editorial boards of International Journal of Case Report and Images, Genes, Frontiers in Medicine: Longevity and Healthy Aging, and Ageing Research Reviews.
His work bridges genetics, epigenetics, and aging, with a focus on genome-wide associations with health, disease, and longevity. Collaborations with global researchers underscore the interdisciplinary nature of his contributions to aging science.
