Giancarlo Polizzi is a Full Professor of Plant Pathology at the Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment (Di3A) of the University of Catania since 2005. He leads the Plant Pathology section from 2018 and has held significant administrative roles, including Deputy Director of the Department (2011–2014) and Rector's delegate for the University Experimental Agricultural Company (2012–2019).
