Giacomo Roman is a Doctoral Research Fellow and PhD candidate in the Department of Haematology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo, focusing on innovative stem cell applications for blood disorder research.
His core interests include Hematology, Stem Cell Research, Organoid Technology, Inherited Bleeding Disorders, and Regenerative Medicine, with emphasis on iPSC-derived liver organoids as models for bleeding disorders to pioneer therapeutic strategies.
Roman's 2023 publication analyzes the translational potential of organoid technology in inherited bleeding disorders, highlighting pathways for personalized medicine and regenerative hematology solutions.
He actively contributes to the Haemostasis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology research group, advancing vascular health studies through cutting-edge coagulation research at Oslo University Hospital.
