Geri Smyth is a Visiting Professor in Education at the University of Strathclyde, where she has been affiliated since 1993. Her research focuses on social justice in education, bilingualism/plurilingualism, and ethnography, with a particular emphasis on linguistic and cultural diversity among teachers and pupils. She co-edits the European Journal of Teacher Education and co-convenes the WERA-IRN on Intersectionality. Her teaching includes supporting bilingual learners in BA/BEd/PGDE programs and mentoring postgraduate researchers in ethnographic methods.
