Geraint Ellis is a Professor in the School of Natural and Built Environment at Queen's University Belfast, with a secondary role as Adjunct Professor at Western University, Canada. His research focuses on planning and sustainability, renewable energy governance, healthy urban environments, and environmental justice. He has held significant roles, including membership on the National Economic and Social Council (NESC) in Ireland and the Assessment Panel for REF2021. His work integrates academic rigor with practical policy engagement, addressing topics like climate resilience, urban equity, and energy transitions.
