Georgios Halkias is Associate Professor at Copenhagen Business School's Department of Marketing and Chair of the Consumer Research Cluster. Previously at Technical University of Munich and University of Vienna, he holds dual PhDs from University of Vienna and Athens University of Economics and Business, an MSc from Warwick Business School, and BSc from University of Piraeus.
Research interests center on consumer psychology with focus areas including:
- Consumer schemata and stereotyping mechanisms
- Social inequality and discrimination in consumption
- Information processing and decision heuristics
- Cross-cultural branding and advertising effectiveness
Publications demonstrate strong emphasis on experimental methods in international marketing contexts, particularly exploring stereotype formation, gender dynamics in consumption, and cross-cultural consumer behavior. Recent work shows growing focus on societal well-being and ethical consumption patterns.
