معرفی
Dr George Grigoriadis is a Senior Research Fellow at Monash University’s Hudson Institute of Medical Research, affiliated with the Centre for Cancer Research. His research focuses on haematological malignancies, particularly myeloma and myeloid/lymphoid disorders, alongside immunological mechanisms involving NF-kappaB signaling and iron metabolism. He co-leads the immunohaematology laboratory and has contributed to clinical initiatives such as the Leukaemia Foundation Patient Conference and Cancer Drugs Access Committee.
Research Interests
Dr Grigoriadis’ work spans haematology, myeloma, immunology, and molecular pathways like NF-kappaB. His recent projects include investigating therapeutic responses to lenalidomide, immune targeting of tumour antigens, and iron dysregulation in myelodysplastic syndromes. Collaborations with Celgene and Bristol-Myers Squibb highlight his translational research focus.
Projects & Grants
He leads or co-investigates multiple grants, including a current 2019–2025 project on lenalidomide response prediction and a 2014–2018 NHMRC-funded study on NF-kappaB’s role in regulatory T cells. His work emphasizes clinical translation, molecular diagnostics (e.g., MRD analysis), and drug development.
Labs & Teams
As co-head of the immunohaematology lab, Dr Grigoriadis collaborates widely across institutions to advance blood cancer research, leveraging flow cytometry and genomic techniques. His contributions to international MRD analysis protocols underscore his role in standardizing diagnostic practices.
