Nicholas Crump is a Kay Kendall Leukaemia Fund Intermediate Fellow in the Department of Immunology and Inflammation at Imperial College London's Faculty of Medicine. His research focuses on epigenetic mechanisms underlying multiple myeloma, particularly enhancer dysregulation and drug resistance. He leads the Crump Lab, part of the Hugh and Josseline Langmuir Centre for Myeloma Research and the Centre for Haematology.
Key research areas include chromatin biology, oncogenic enhancer activity, and therapeutic target identification. Techniques used include ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, and Micro-Capture-C, with a focus on optimizing methods like TOPmentation for patient sample analysis.
