George Baltas

George Baltas is a Professor of Marketing and Consumer Behaviour at the Athens University of Economics and Business, affiliated with the School of Business and the Department of Marketing and Communication. He earned a BSc in Economics, an MBA with distinction, and a PhD from the University of Warwick. Currently, he serves as Director of the AUEB MSc in Marketing Analytics and the AUEB Marketing Research Laboratory, and was elected President of the Greek Marketing Academy in 2020.

Scientific Awards include Best Paper Awards at the British Academy of Management Conference in 2012, 2016, and 2020, as well as six additional best paper awards. He serves on the editorial boards of journals like the Journal of Product and Brand Management and Industrial Marketing Management.

Professor Baltas has reviewed for numerous scholarly journals, including Decision Sciences and Marketing Science, and has been Chair of the Methods, Modelling & Marketing Analytics Track at six EMAC Conferences. His research has received significant media coverage, with hundreds of articles and interviews in print, digital, and broadcast outlets, and he frequently participates as a speaker or panelist in professional events.
