Gemma Wright is a Lecturer in Therapies and Admissions Tutor at Swansea University's School of Health and Social Care, part of the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences. She qualified as an Occupational Therapist from Oxford Brookes University in 2004 and holds an MSc in Ageing, Health and Disease from Cardiff University (2012) and a Leadership and Management qualification from ILM (2021).
Her expertise spans occupational therapy education, upper limb rehabilitation, chronic condition management, and geriatric health, with a focus on self-management strategies and inclusive practice. She teaches the foundational module SHT101: Foundation Sciences for Occupation, covering anatomy, physiology, psychology, and sociology relevant to occupational engagement.
Gemma emphasizes equality, diversity, and inclusion in occupational therapy education and has professional experience across acute and physical health settings in England and Wales.
