معرفی
Gang Wang is a Researcher in Neuroscience at the Brain and Mind Research Institute, Weill Cornell Medical College. His work focuses on neurovascular dysfunction, hypertension, and their connections to neurodegenerative diseases.
- Education: B.M. and Ph.D. from Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China
Dr. Wang's research explores the molecular mechanisms linking angiotensin II-induced hypertension to neurovascular coupling deficits, with a focus on roles of estrogen receptors, NOX2, and ApoE4 in neuroinflammatory and oxidative stress pathways. He investigates how these processes contribute to white matter injury, cognitive dysfunction, and tau pathology.
His funded projects include studies on Alzheimer's disease mechanisms (NINDS), estrogen receptor contributions to hypertension (NHLBI), and neurovascular impacts of dietary salt (NINDS).
Dr. Wang is affiliated with the Brain and Mind Research Institute, where he investigates neurovascular interactions using transgenic mouse models and advanced electrophysiological techniques.
