Gabrielle Tull is an Assistant Professor of Dance and Director of Arts Education at Winthrop University, within the College of Visual and Performing Arts. She previously served as a high school dance director and instructor, curating original dance curricula. Her roles include program coordination in dance education and grant facilitation for the South Carolina Dance Educators Network (SCDEN).

Research Interests: Gabrielle’s work emphasizes the Afro Diaspora foundations in jazz technique, equitable access to arts education, and curriculum innovation. She actively bridges scholarship with practice, advocating for diverse methodologies in dance pedagogy.
Awards: In 2021, she received the Artist Express Grant, funded by the Virginia Commission of the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. Her collaborations with SCDEN have also secured grants from the SC Arts Commission and SC Department of Education (2022–2024).
Advising & Grants: As a grant facilitator for SCDEN, she focuses on resource equity for dance educators. Her professional presentations span institutions like Duke University and national conferences (ACDA, SCDA, NDEO) from 2022–2023, highlighting her contributions to dance education discourse.
Labs/Teams: Founding member of the South Carolina Dance Educators Network (SCDEN), a professional organization dedicated to advancing dance education accessibility and quality across the state.
