Frederick 'Fritz' Mayer serves as Dean of the Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver since 2019, concurrently holding the rank of Professor. He leads initiatives such as the Global Environmental Sustainability master’s program and the Scrivner Institute of Public Policy. His academic career includes prior roles as Associate Dean and Professor at Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy. Mayer’s scholarship focuses on economic globalization, narrative politics, and climate policy, with over 20 publications including two monographs. Professional service includes chairing the Denver Council on Foreign Relations and founding The Colorado Project. He previously advised Senator Bill Bradley on foreign policy and advocates for solutions-oriented education through strategic vision 'Korbel 2030.'
