Naazneen H. Barma is the Douglas and Mary Scrivner Professor of Public Policy, Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, and founding Director of the Scrivner Institute at the University of Denver's Josef Korbel School of International Studies. As a political scientist, her research examines peacebuilding, foreign aid, and global governance with regional expertise in Southeast Asia and the Pacific.
Research focuses on conflict resolution mechanisms, development economics, and democratic transitions in post-conflict societies.
Honors include:
- Susan S. Northcutt Award for advancing women in international studies (2021)
- Inaugural Korbel Outstanding Teaching Award for exceptional student mentorship (2022)
