Martin Rhodes is a Professor and Director of Research at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver. He previously held roles including Director of the PhD Program and Associate Dean. Rhodes specializes in European political economy, welfare state policies, and EU governance. His research spans comparative welfare states, varieties of capitalism, and the political economy of the Eurozone crisis. He has published extensively on topics such as EU banking regulation, Brexit, and Italian politics. Rhodes has supervised over 25 doctoral dissertations and teaches courses on global economic policy, comparative politics, and public finance.
Education: Ph.D. in Philosophy from Oxford University (1985), M.A. and B.A. from University of Canterbury, New Zealand (1978).
Research Interests: European Union policy dynamics, global financial systems, welfare state reforms, and socio-economic governance. His work bridges European political economy with global development issues.
